Printing with the Sun — Blueprint: cyanotype workshop, with Anna Jiskrová

€10.00 Limited places
Book

Discover the magic of printing with sunlight. In this hands-on workshop we create small prints on paper and fabric using cut-outs, found images and photographic negatives. We experiment with composition, materials and sunlight, leaving room for chance and unexpected results. No previous experience needed; in English and Portuguese. Weather conditions can influence the process, and successful results are not guaranteed — mistakes and failed prints are all part of the experiment and the creative process.

Meditative Sound Journey at Sunrise, with Ana Luísa

€5.00 · €20.00 with breakfast Limited places
Book

A pause to breathe, slow down and be nourished by the many sounds that make up a Sound Journey. Sound is far more than what can be heard — it is something felt, in every note, in every vibration. It moves through the body like ripples on water, waking places words cannot reach. In every sound, an invitation to settle, to calm the heart and bring clarity. An invitation to return to yourself. With or without breakfast, chosen when booking.

Making the iconic glove puppets of Dom Roberto, the traditional Portuguese puppet theatre. The wooden heads come already turned, and the cut fabric is assembled and sewn (or glued, if preferred). Children sketch on paper, trace the outline onto the head and colour it with permanent markers and paints. Sewing materials are available for those who prefer it to gluing. For children aged 9 and over, or accompanied by an adult if younger. Duration: about 90 minutes.

Listening to Plants

Free Limited places
Book

Have you ever imagined listening to a plant? At ECHOO, the plants of Chão das Feiteiras find their voice: a technology picks up their tiny electrical variations and turns them into musical notes — each plant has its own melody, in real time. While you listen, a biologist introduces the species that are “playing”: who they are, how they live and what makes them unique in this landscape. An experience to slow down, listen and look at nature in a different way. Free, with booking — maximum of 15 people.
